Purpose of this page.
These safe use recommendations have been prepared to ensure safe, responsible and meaningful time when using ChickiMap physical educational materials (activity boxes, printed activities and other materials). Please read them carefully before starting activities together with your child.
Recommended age.
ChickiMap physical materials are recommended for children aged 3 and over, unless indicated otherwise for a specific product. The materials are intended for use only under adult supervision, taking into account the child's individual abilities and maturity. Parents or guardians should assess whether a particular activity is suitable for their child's age and stage of development. ChickiMap physical materials are educational methodological tools and are not toys within the meaning of toy safety regulations.
Use only under adult supervision.
All physical materials are intended for use only together with an adult. Children must not be allowed to use the materials on their own. These are tools for parents, guardians and educators, intended for shared time with the child, not for independent play.
Small parts and choking hazard.
The kits may contain small parts (stickers, figurines, decorative and other elements) that may pose a choking or swallowing hazard. Small parts must not be put in the mouth or tasted. During activities, an adult must supervise the child at all times.
About the Chicki figurine.
If the kit includes a Chicki figurine, it is a symbolic companion that helps the child get in the mood for the activity and create a ritual. It is not a toy and is not intended for independent use by the child. After the activity, it is recommended to safely put the figurine back in the box.
Use of scissors.
If scissors are used in an activity, they may only be given when the child is ready, and only under constant adult supervision. After the activity, scissors must be stored out of the child's reach.
Adhesive tapes and materials.
Adhesive tapes or other materials must not be applied directly to the child's skin, must not be wrapped too tightly or kept on for a long time. If skin irritation or discomfort is noticed, the activity must be stopped immediately.
The child's emotional wellbeing.
Observe the child's emotional state and wellbeing. If the child is not in the mood for the activity at the moment, it is recommended to postpone it. The main goal is safe, calm and quality time together, not the result.
Order and safe storage.
After the activity, put all materials back in the packaging. Keep the materials out of the child's reach to prevent unintentional use without adult supervision.
Allergies and sensitivities.
If the child has allergies or sensitivities to certain materials, it is recommended to check the materials before use. If any adverse reaction is noticed, the activity must be stopped immediately.
Natural wear.
Changes in the colour, shape or materials of the products resulting from natural or repeated use are not considered a defect.
Parental responsibility.
Parents or guardians are responsible for the child's safety during activities, taking into account the child's age, individual abilities and needs.
Limitation of liability.
The Seller is not liable for damage or accidents resulting from the use of the materials in breach of these recommendations or without adult supervision, except where the damage arose from a breach of the Seller's statutory obligations.
